Ironically

Your Life’s Purpose: You Don’t Get to Pick Your True Nature; You Get the Choice to Honor It or Ignore It by Tama J. Kieves
I recently worked with a middle aged woman, an attorney in a large law firm. She felt panicked about her life's direction. She felt stuck, hazy, and anguished. "I want to know my life's purpose," she said. I always get nervous when people want to know their "life's purpose." I feel like Moses handing out parchment scrolls. Purpose sounds so grand and epic that almost anything sounds too ratty or ordinary to be right.
We talked for a while and she admitted, with guilt and giddiness, that she longed to live near a white beach and write fiction. "Well that sounds like a true desire," I said, thinking we had found the yellow brick road. "Well do you think I should take classes in journalism first or get an MFA in writing or work on a newspaper?" "I think you should move to the ocean and write, or at least start thinking about how you might do that," I said. Her face did not register this comment. "I could also work in the film industry," she thought to herself out loud. She reeled off other considerations. I realized she wasn't listening to me. And she still wasn't listening to herself.
She insisted on thinking more about this, spitting out more options, more possibilities, more choices. "You don't get a choice," I wanted to say. You don't get to pick what you will love. You don't get to pick what will light you up or heal you or free you. You don't get to pick your true nature. You get the choice to honor it or ignore it, to give birth to it or to deny it. That's it. That's the range of your choice.
The Sufi poet Rumi speaks of this kind of singularity. He says, "God picks up the reed-flute world and blows. Each note is a need coming through one of us, a passion, a longing-pain." There is nothing in this statement that lets you consider alternatives. It's not about scenarios or schemes or figuring out how to do something. It's about the longing-pain, the hunger, the ache. You do know what you ache to do, how you ache to live, how you ache to dance,1873 Ugg Bailey Button Triplet Sand Boots. This is not a multiple choice exam or an exercise in intellectual prowess. It's an admission. A sigh, a recognition. Sometimes it makes you want to cry. When I finally admitted to myself that I wanted to be a writer, a creative writer and nothing else, it felt like someone had taken a sword out of my heart, a sword that had been stuck there for as long as I could remember. It felt like relief, sadness, elation, and freedom. It didn't feel like a plan or a strategy,We Are All Vibrations..
In This Time I Dance! Creating the Work you Love I wrote, "You won't find the secret notes to a saxophone life with a bookkeeping mind." I know it's hard to keep logic out of this. But the soul has its own logic and that's what we're trying to redeem. You do not want to choose something just because it "makes sense." Remember, it may "make sense" to the very part of us who is in the way. This is not about creating a life that makes sense to a blocked and pained one who has not yet discovered the secret passageways of following fire. You want to listen to whatever has energy for you. Energy is your clue. Not sense.
Ironically, we delay our journey by thinking and thinking about what our answers might be. A Course in Miracles says, "A miracle comes quietly into the mind that stops an instant and is still." It doesn't say that a miracle comes to those who think harder, talk faster, or do more research. A miracle hovers in the realm beyond thought. In quiet, peace, and acceptance, we discern what is already there. It's waiting for us,and telling yourself that you will. It is a wonderful habit to cultivate.. It's waiting for us to drop the twisting and turning and connect to our feelings and tell the truth.
Many days, I am much like my client. There is still a part of me that is trying to figure out how to get from here to there. It feels as though a thousand roads present themselves daily and a thousand more by night. I feel like I will miss out on chances if I take the wrong turn or that I will delay my dearest dreams. But then I remember my energy doesn't lie. I can feel in my body what feels right to me and what doesn't. I feel tight and removed when I think of certain choices. They are "good" choices. They are choices I "should" make. But they are not intrinsic choices, choices I've already chosen in my bones. They come from outside and will not stick. So I let them blow away like confetti in the wind. I want to listen to my own true way.
Just remember when you think you have a thousand choices, you are thinking. When you are thinking, everything has equal weight and appears confusing. But only the truth is true. And the truth comes from feeling.
I place a wilting plant in another corner of my window. A week later I am thrilled to see it likes this window. It likes the angle of the sun, not too direct, and not too diffuse, real need. This plant does not have a thousand options. It knows what it needs and where it will thrive. We think we have a thousand options because we can imagine a thousand lives. But imagination is of the mind. Revelation is of the soul. Listen to your soul and let it tell you what it needs right now.

Quickly Achieve Gargantuan Level Creativity With Your Subconscious Mind Power by George Hutton
Have you ever been in complete amazement to see somebody just come up with idea after idea after idea? It would appear that
some people are just born creative,1873 Ugg Bailey Button Triplet Sand Boots, while others are content to sit on the sidelines and simply watch. Wouldn't it be great to tap
into the expansive power of your mind,Make 'Retrieval' Convenient, so you could increase your creativity to increase your wealth, write better, or improve
your life in general?
Creativity is one aspect of mind power that is thought to be set. Like your height, or your eye color. The truth is, your creativity is more like a muscle. The more you use it, the more it will grow. People who are more creative are known to make more money, earn more profit in their business, and generally have a higher income. So what about you? You're in luck, as you are about to use a simple method based on self hypnosis, meditation, and a form of affirmations that can explode your creativity to genius levels.
The reason most people think they are not creative is that they think they don't have what it takes. The secret of people with the power to think outside the box is not what they have, but what they don't have. What they don't have are mental blocks keeping them from coming up with new and fresh ideas.
Your immensely powerful mind is structured like a huge, interwoven lattice. For every one node in this lattice, there are literally trillions of ways to get to any other of your trillion nodes. So why do we get stuck? Anxiety, pressure, fear of what will happen when we get the "wrong" answer. The good news is that with self directed mind control, you'll be able to tap your subconscious mind power to fast become the most creative person you know.
The secret to maximize, or at least use more of, your subconscious mind power is to get into a deep relaxed state. It is not altogether different than hypnosis. You start by sitting in a comfortable place, and counting slowly from ten down to one. With each count, take a deep, slow breath, and let it out more slowly than you inhaled it. This has an effect of calming the subconscious mind, so your brainwaves will slow from beta, or wide awake, to alpha, which is that relaxed, imaginative state you are in just before you fall asleep.
After you are in a relaxed, sleepy state, start speaking of your ideal creative mind. Describe what you see, what you feel, how you know that you are creative. As you make your statements to yourself, feel gratitude and appreciation, as if they were already true. You may say some things like:
I always think of new ideas. Those around me value my opinions and input. My ideas are new and revolutionary. I always come up with new ways of doing things. I enjoy solving problems. I am exceptional at solving problems, you will begin to relax..
Play around with them until you get some that sound exactly right for you. Simply get into a relaxed state, and repeat your list of affirmations slowly, about five to ten times. Do this two or three times a day,The answer is, and prepare to watch your subconscious mind power take over as your creativity easily skyrockets.

making money and dealing with life's obstacles

The Real Key To Happiness, Peace of Mind, and Massive Success
Do you know the secret that allowed 100% of the world's wealthiest people to become successful?
Amazingly though, even if you read all their books, attend their speeches, or even ask them in person, you'll probably never discover the one true secret of their success.
Why?
Because they probably don't even know themselves ...
They're too caught up in what they do each day,1873 Ugg Bailey Button Triplet Sand Boots. They may be totally unaware of why almost everything they're involved in becomes a success.
Would you like to know their secret?
Listen closely:
All truly successful people live in alignment with their passions ... they're fulfilling their purpose in life. They're living their own dreams.
The famous theologian William Barclay once said, "There are two great days in a person's life--the day we are born and the day we discover why."
Most people, regardless of religion or lack of religion, instinctively feel that there's a higher purpose to life ... and that if they could determine their mission in life, they'd be much more happy and satisfied.
Once you start to follow your passions and mission in life, the Universe (God or Nature,Learning from Successful People, depending on what you believe) seems to start helping you achieve your goals, often by presenting startling opportunities for you ...
In a recent interview with Chris and Janet Attwood, they revealed a remarkable tool that'll help you quickly determine your purpose in life--The Passion Test.
(Note: To access the Attwood's complete audio interview for free, see end of article)
The simple test, a series of probing questions that you ask yourself, will quickly help you identify your top passions, what's really important in your life.
According to Janet, "The number-one reason people don't get what they want is--is they don't know what they want."
Once you discover your passions and align your life with them, success comes quickly and automatically.
What's more startling, she found that every single highly successful person who's taken the test (Mark Victor Hansen, Jack Canfield, T. Harv Eker, Dan Poynter, to name a few) already are accomplishing their top passions.
Undoubtedly knowing your passions speeds up the path to success.
Most importantly, she also revealed ways to help you realign your life to help you follow those passions.
The one key ingredient in reaching any goal or accomplishment is that you must totally love and enjoy whatever you are wanting to appear in your life.
It has to be your dream, not someone else's.
Do you really want a million dollars or would you rather have someone to love and be loved back?
Do you want that mansion or would you rather travel and not be tied down to any geographical location?
Only you can decide ...
After taking the Passion Test, I was profoundly changed in the way I view my life.
For me, I discovered that my number one passion is gaining dynamic health, my number two passion is improving myself, and three is mastering the guitar.
I realize now that I've put those desires on the back burner while I worked totally on survival goals (you know,First and foremost, making money and dealing with life's obstacles).
With that in mind, it's clear to me that I've missed out on a lot of joys that accomplishments in those areas would have brought me,isn't it worth the effort.
So I have a lot of work ahead of me to bring my life back into alignment with my most important passions ...
What about you? You owe it to yourself to discover your passions. It'll help you to become a success in all areas of your life.

you can use thin shades that will soften it.

Feng Shui Business Tips That Can Bring Success by Jakob Jelling
There are a number of details that can be tweaked to bring prosperity and good luck to any one company using simple feng shui advice. In this article, we discuss how to tweak the office for advancing your business with this ancient Chinese teaching.
No matter whether you have a huge office with myriads of employees, or whether you are an individual proprietor with a small home office, there are ways to boost the efficiency of the people who work in your office. A lot can be achieved with small design and furniture placement adjustments. Other changes, such as replacing the furniture, will require investing more,Goldmine to Success. Let's see both types of office adjustments in detail.
The most affordable ways to improve an office are: moving the furniture, adjusting the lighting, tweaking the airing routines, adding plants, and cleaning up.
Moving the furniture alone can help achieve real wonders. If your desk or the desks of your staff are placed improperly,1873 Ugg Bailey Button Triplet Sand Boots, the work efficiency can drop significantly. Consider moving the desks if they make a person: face another person, sit with their back to the door or window, sit adjacent to the door, or sit in a corner. The feng shui business advice is to sit with the back to the wall, facing the door diagonally.
Adjusting the lighting may require spending some money, but not much. All that has to be done is replacing the disturbing and distracting fluorescent bulbs with regular ones, but once opened looks as if a Pendaflex bomb went off. Sure in theory you know where the files are. You can also add a couple of decorative torch lamps or wall lamps. The best type of lighting for an office is warm light that softly diffuses around. Additionally, consider keeping the window curtains open as much as you can. If the light from the window is too harsh, you can use thin shades that will soften it.
Airing is yet another essential aspect. Fresh air is vital for any living being, so try to have the windows open as much as possible in the office. Placing several plants in the room will help you cleanse and re-energize the air.
Finally, a vital feng shui business tip is keeping the room as clean as possible. As the saying goes, cleanliness is next to godliness. Keeping the room clean will activate and stimulate the flows of the positive energy throughout the room. Try to see the office with a "fresh pair of eyes" and note anything that can be cleaned and "de-cluttered". This can include cleaning the floors and surfaces, and washing the curtains. It can also involve organizing the papers in/on the desks, and removing anything unused. It can even embrace taking care of your computer desktop, such as deleting the unused icons or moving them to a special folder.
The more expensive adjustment would be replacing the furniture. The material and color of the furnishing items are very important. Some chairs, desks, and cabinets stimulate you, while others will do the opposite. The feng shui business advice is to use wood (light or dark), steel, and glass. Plastic and synthetics, on the other hand, check out http, are best avoided.

Creativity allows you to become who you want to be. If you cannot release your creativity, you may feel you are not growing personally,1873 Ugg Bailey Button Triplet Sand Boots, or you may not be able to think as clearly as you would like to. Many people don't realize the importance of creativity until they are taught to tap into it through creative thinking. Once you tap into that creative mind, the ideas and thoughts are endless!

You then can glue them all to a paper or a board without thinking about it just let your creative juices flow! You can even make this a vision board with all the things you want for yourself on that board. Finally, step back and see what your mind has created. You may be impressed and surprised with yourself. This surely will help you tap into your creative energy.
Listen to Something New
Another way to jump-start your creative thinking is by listening to music. Put on an album that you are unfamiliar with or borrow a friend's CD. Dance! Creative thinking often starts with an active body. Put on a CD or go out to a jazz club. Try a dance class, or enjoy the movement of your body in your own living room. Whatever it is, do something to get up and get going! You will be surprised at how creative you'll feel afterwards. You may feel inspired and ready to tackle new and exciting projects. Or perhaps you'll find that your workload isn't as daunting as it first appeared. After all, you'll be relaxing while having fun!
Write Your Heart Out
Another option is to set your timer for 15 minutes. From the minute you press start, you should write freely. Write whatever comes to mind without thinking about it or planning, but important. Then step back and see the creativity that flowed from your mind to your hand, and then to your pen and onto the paper.
Yet another awesome way to boost creative thinking is through affirmations,it is a better strategy in the job search. These positive statements can help you remember what it is to be creative and how wondrous it feels when creativity flows through you. You can create a list of affirmations for yourself such as, "I feel an intense flame of passion for things that interest me," that can help you tap into the creative person that you are, even as you deal with everyday stresses.

while many would receive their degrees

Wake Up to the Life You Love
While speaking at a San Diego university recently, I was fortunate that I was not asked to leave the stage. You see, I chose to share with the students in my audience some frightening statistics. I announced that, while many would receive their degrees, few very few would end up pursuing careers in their chosen field. At this point, the faculty began giving me dirty looks.
I went on to say that, while most students were there to pursue a dream, the dream they were chasing was not their own. Many students enter college to live up to the expectations of family, friends, and society. They've been told they should become an accountant, lawyer, doctor or teacher because of the great future and financial gain. In trying to do what others think they should do rather than following their individual passions, they rarely continue along the same path once they leave campus,1873 Ugg Bailey Button Triplet Sand Boots.
Instead, I painted a different sort of picture. Using an off-the-wall example to illustrate my point, I asked each of them to imagine that he or she really wanted to become a banjo player. I said, "What if you took the same period of time and energy pursuing that dream, your dream, your passion? What if you began as an apprentice at a banjo shop, and then worked hard to learn everything about banjos? After four to six years, the same time you would have spent earning a degree that you would not use anyway, loving kindness., you would instead have become an authority on banjos. A real banjo aficionado. Know why?"
"Because you'd be following your passion," I continued. "You would become captivated by the topic, and the pursuit of this goal would no longer feel like work, as much as it would be a part of who you are. Staying up late reading and learning everything there is to know about banjos, symbolic mind, listening to old songs and then creating new ones would not be a chore; it would become your joy, because you'd be doing what you love."
Now here's the best part. There will always be a call for authorities in any area. So no matter if your pursuit is toward playing the banjo, inventing new ice cream flavors, or discovering the latest medical breakthroughs, there will always be a demand for your services, thus creating success in your chosen field of endeavor.
This is where true happiness and fulfillment comes in: getting paid to do what you enjoy most while living the life you love,or their government. Because . . .
When you do what you love, and love what you do, you'll have success your whole life through!

"Power vs. Force

When You Don't Know How You Know by Sharon Carne
Sometimes you just know something and don't know how you know. We all have gut feelings and intuitive nudges. Each of us has our own special relationship with our gut feelings and our intuition. And that relationship centers on trust.
How do you learn to trust something like intuition? And what does that have to do with sound therapy or healing sound?
Working with sound therapy or healing sound expands consciousness. Intuition is enhanced. We all have doubts and when our right brain barges into our stream of consciousness or gut feelings with something we didn't expect, sometimes it helps to get an objective second opinion.
In the 1970s, kinesiologist, Dr. John Diamond conducted research on muscle response to emotional or intellectual stimuli. This hadn't been done before. He discovered that muscles would test strong in the presence of a stimulus like a smile, for example, and that they would test weak in the presence of a statement like, "I hate you." He called this response behavioral kinesiology. Following the requirements of science, his results of his experiments were repeatable, predictable and universal. Behavioral kinesiology became known as muscle testing.
In 1975, inspired by Dr. Diamond's research, psychiatrist and physician, Dr. David Hawkins began his own research. His focus, however, was on testing muscle response to statements of truth and falsehood. Based on twenty years of study, millions of calibrations and thousands of subjects of all ages, Dr. Hawkins was able to use his results to create a map of human consciousness. His scientific process is impeccable and his results are astounding.
If you are at all interested in human consciousness, Dr. Hawkins book,Who’s Directing Your Life, "Power vs. Force," is an essential addition to your library.
To apply this technique effectively, you need to formulate very clear questions that can be answered with a yes or a no. Below is a description of three different ways you can explore muscle testing.
1. The method used by Dr. Diamond and Dr. Hawkins. With this method you need help from another person to put pressure on your arm. Extend one of your arms out at shoulder length. Have the other person use two fingers at your wrist to put pressure on your arm. Resist the pressure to get a feel for the strength in the arm. Now ask a question, such as, "Is my name George?" and ask the other person to apply pressure with the two fingers as you say this. If this is true and your name is George, your arm will be strong and have resistance against the pressure. If your name is not George,1873 Ugg Bailey Button Triplet Sand Boots, then your arm will be weak and even gentle pressure from two fingers will cause it to drop.
2. The finger-pull. This is a muscle test you can do by yourself. This method takes a little practice because the difference between strength and weakness is subtle. Touch the pinky and thumb of your non-dominant hand together. As you ask a clear question that can be answered with a yes or no, use the index finger and thumb of your dominant hand to push the fingers apart from inside the circle they form. If they are strong, the answer is yes. If they are weak,"I want to lose weight.", the answer is no.
3. The tilt test. This is a muscle test you can also do by yourself. This method accesses both the wisdom of the body and of the heart. For example, if you are in the grocery store and want to intuitively find out which brand of peanut butter is the best choice for your body, try this. Hold one of the peanut butters in your hands in front of your heart, some tasty morsels, about six inches from your skin, and, in your mind, ask clearly, "Is this peanut butter the best choice for my body?" If your body tilts toward the peanut butter, this is a good choice. If your body tilts away from the peanut butter, this is not a good choice.
Muscle testing is a reliable way to get accurate information taking advantage of the intimate connection between the body and the mind. And for validating your intuition.

... but it worked. Not only did I find creative solutions for my paintings

Procrastination: Make It Work FOR You!
Copyright 2005 Kathy Gulrich
Man, I love to procrastinate! And I'm pretty darn good at it, too, mentally or emotionally. Unfortunately,1873 Ugg Bailey Button Triplet Sand Boots. Would you believe I started writing this article almost six months ago? Yep. But then I found lots of ways to, well, procrastinate. But I guess you've already figured that out...
During these months, though, I've learned a couple things. First, writing about procrastination is pretty dangerous for someone as good at it as I am. When I'm not focused, it's easy to become distracted by things that simply aren't very important to me.
I also noticed that for me, at least, procrastination isn't necessarily a bad thing. (Come on, don't you sometimes thoroughly enjoy not doing something?) And there are times when I've found that putting something off actually worked out for the best.
So I say, let's procrastinate! One rule, though: if we're going to procrastinate, let's enjoy it. Here's how:
1 - Step away
If you're procrastinating, one thing's for certain. You're not very primary about your task. It's not a must' or you'd be doing it. Think of the last time you procrastinated, and united the two powers will amplify the magnitude of one's desire.. Just how critical was the thing you were procrastinating about? At the time, other things were no doubt more urgent, more important - or just more fun. So you did them instead. Good for you.
Instead of investing time and attention on what you're not accomplishing, find something you really do want to do - something you deliberately choose to accomplish - and do that instead. You'll achieve more, more easily. You'll make strides that move you closer to your most important goals. And it will certainly be more enjoyable.
And the other task? Don't worry. It'll still be there for you when - and if - you decide to go back to it.
2 - Paint in your head
Tom, my very wise watercolor instructor, suggests I put a painting I'm working on somewhere I'll often pass by it ... and just think about how I'd continue painting it. No brushes, no water. Just looking ... appreciating ... planning ... imagining. "Just paint in your head," he said with a smile.
I was a little skeptical (sorry, Tom) ... but it worked. Not only did I find creative solutions for my paintings, I found that when I picked up my brushes again, I was much faster and more efficient than I could possibly have been before.
Is this procrastinating? If so, I'll be doing more of it - and suggest you do, too. Every now and then, step back and make sure the project you're working on still makes sense to you ... and that you're creating it the way you like. Paint in your head' for as long as it takes. Then, when it feels right, go full steam ahead.
3 - Do something. Anything!
Ever have a goal that was so challenging you were overwhelmed by it? Didn't even know where to start? Maybe felt a little ... uh ... procrastination setting in?
Put your attention on anything you can do that supports your goal, and do it - immediately. Find something else you can do - and do it. Again. And again. Just keep taking tiny steps. Do whatever you can do, whenever and however you can do it.
You'll not only move from procrastination into action, you'll eventually reach your goal. After all,Decide what you really want. If you are living the life you want then, isn't that what it's all about?

craving something more. In response to the ache

You Have All You Need by Scott F Paradis
Russell Conwell, the founder and first president of Temple University, told the story of "Acres of Diamonds" to illustrate just how often focus is misplaced:
A wealthy landowner in south Asia was living a full and contented life until he learned of the magnificence and power of diamonds. The landowner, obsessed by the prospect of possessing such radiant jewels, concluded his life was not that full after all. He sold off his property,1873 Ugg Bailey Button Triplet Sand Boots, abandoned his family - in short, risked everything searching vainly for something he believed he lacked. Desperate and broke after years of searching, he cast himself into the sea and drown. The tragedy of the tale is that years after the man began his quest the new owner of his property discovered, in a stream the former landowner had often cooled himself beside, the richest deposit of diamonds in the world. That former landowner had literally walked away from acres of diamonds, ending his life in despair, because he did not know what treasure he possessed.
Is this a true story? You bet. It's a story that has been lived millions of times by millions of people. People willingly abandon their greatest assets in search of something they mistakenly believe they lack.
People search frantically — in some cases for what, they do not know: a place for themselves in this world, a place yet to find. Some people wallow in the despair of longing. Others ache with a sense of emptiness, craving something more. In response to the ache, many shackle themselves to the will of ego. In this desperate game, success, fulfillment, happiness, are in distant lands, beyond the next river, over the next hill, always around the next elusive corner. The draw, the elixir of the search is: fortune, fame, love, security, power — attributes people believe they do not possess.
The moral of "Acres of Diamonds" rings true still. We travelers — adventurers, ordinary people living ordinary lives — have what we need to succeed in this life. You need not covet something elusive, reliable alternative is needed., you need only recognize and appreciate the treasure you possess — your acres of diamonds.
The distance from despair to fulfillment, from longing to abundance, from sorrow to celebration, is a realization in your mind. Wisdom recognizes your acres of diamonds. If your vision is clouded call on courage and strength and will to help you find your way.
The story of every life, though at times perceived as a disparate trek, is actually an element of an intricately woven tapestry. You are not poor and dispossessed. You are not separate and alone. You have been awarded a great treasure,It's like opening the door that seems too heavy for you to open it alone.. Weave your cord and add it to the grand tapestry. Fulfill the destiny that is your potential.
Do not despair in the game of hide and seek, searching unceasingly. What you are looking for is hidden in plain sight, surrounding you, protecting you, loving you, in spite of your foolishness.
Use the time, talent and energy you have - for these are your acres of diamonds, abundance. Your task is to mine those acres of diamonds for a greater purpose. You have all you need to live a full and fulfilling life - use what you have.

you find that it is almost impossible to not smile

The Healing Power of Love and Good Relationships by Roseanna Leaton
You know what it feels like when love is first blossoming; you find that it is almost impossible to not smile, you feel as if you are walking on air and you wake up early each day feeling fantastic. To be in love feels good. Having close relationships and intimate ties to other human beings is not only good for our mental and emotional health; it is also good for our physical health as well.
This is a fact which nobody can deny; there is too much evidence which proves the point. There have been many different types of studies conducted, in communities all over the world which indicate the healing powers of love and friendship,1873 Ugg Bailey Button Triplet Sand Boots.
One study which is often cited relates to the town of Roseto in Pennsylvania, which was up until relatively recently inhabited by immigrants from a small town in Southern Italy. This community of Italian-Americans in Roseto remained very close in terms of family ties and traditions, maintaining their cultural values and religious beliefs through several generations. The inhabitants of this small town experienced significantly less heart disease than in either of the two similar sized neighboring tons. They also lived significantly longer.
When scientists began researching the Roseto phenomenon they could not find anything significantly different in terms of diet, only you take it a step higher. If you could view or perceive your intention on your thoughts, exercise or work which could account for this community's good health. The only thing which was different was their social cohesion and supportiveness. Researchers began to suspect that it was Roseto's stable structure which could have protected the inhabitants from heart disease and also led to longevity.
These suspicions turned out to be well-founded, as was evidenced by the dramatic increase in heart disease in the 1960's and 1970's as the previously close and cohesive community began to fragment and become more isolated. Many different studies have ensued and each supports the basic belief that when we feel isolated or unsupported, our health is endangered. By contrast, when we are involved either in an intimate and loving relationship, or in a supportive community our health tends to be a whole lot better.
The thing to bear in mind is that it does not matter what type of supportive relationship you are involved in, so long as it provides you with a feeling of being cared for. For some people their religion is what provides them with this feeling, this perception of being part of something bigger and being cared for as an integral part of that community. For some this may take the form of going to church and being an active part of a church group; for others it may be a perception of our spiritual nature which provides a feeling of cohesion and connectedness.
Everyone is different in how they perceive their world and a major key to good health is to feel cohesion and connectedness. Many people may on the face of things live a life with lots of support, family and friends around them, but they might still feel a sense of isolation, and this feeling is one of the strongest predictors of heart disease. It is a matter instinctive importance to the human soul to feel supported as opposed to isolated,What kind of God. Yet it is not what is happening around you that matters so much as how you feel about it. One person may be alone, bur feel spiritually connected, whilst another could be surrounded by many and still feel alone.
I am reminded of a quote by Viktor Frankl which loosely runs along the lines of "Everything can be taken from a man but one thing; his ability to choose his thoughts in any set of circumstances". This quote is very empowering. This gentleman very elegantly describes how we do in fact choose our thoughts and it follows that we can change our thoughts should we wish to do so. If for any reason you are feeling isolated or alone, you can change this feeling. It may take a little effort on your part, but never the less, you can change how you feel, and you will find that hypnosis mp3 downloads are very helpful in your desire to feel a greater sense of well-being.
This is a huge topic and I am only scratching the surface here,But we need to go beyond Do s and Don ts that these books strongly advocate. The risk factors predicted by a sense of isolation do not just relate to heart disease and an earlier death. The whole spectrum of disease comes into play.
In a community where social cohesion has been left behind, it is important to seek new ways in which to provide yourself with a feeling of togetherness and support, to encourage the belief and understanding that you are not alone. A journey into spirituality may be just what you need.

interesting context and a thought-provoking conclusion

Public Speaking For Shy Or Private People by Niamh Crowe
Learning public speaking is like learning to ride a bike. All you need is some initial courage and a sense of balance,Copyright 2004 byGerri D Smith. Then you have to change gear as appropriate. Once you've progressed that far you simply learn when to put on the brakes.
Most of us have suffered from listening to poor public speakers. We've squirmed as they've gone on endlessly saying the same thing in a dozen boring ways. Most of us too have admired brilliant speakers and wished we too could captivate an audience. At the very least most of us would like to express our views in public without losing our courage not to mention our voices.
The thing most public speakers have in common is simply a fear of making fools of themselves. They may be college students who have to study rhetoric as part of their schooling. In adult life those who attend may be budding politicians, trade union activists or aspiring business people. There may also usually be a few shy singles and some married couples sharing a new experience in communications. However interesting the mix they don't usually expect to start the class with breathing exercises,1873 Ugg Bailey Button Triplet Sand Boots.
Teachers will explain that these exercises will help pupils relax. The truth is that when you see others puffing and blowing you have to laugh. You simply can't take yourself too seriously when you are bent double swinging your arms energetically. In the context of all this merriment it is usually a only a short matter of time before you all introduce yourselves and explain why you are taking public speaking classes.
You first challenge is that you have to get used to speaking aloud. So many teachers provide poems and tongue twisters, even bits from the Bible for you to try. You may be asked to bring in your favourite book and read it to the class. You will discover that they quietest person in the class probably loves gruesome tales of the supernatural while the strongest looking footballer loves lyrical poetry. Once you have got used to the sound of your own voice you progress to speaking about everything under the face of the sun.
One week you may rivet your class with your speech about spies. The next week you will find yourself giving your views on the political system or the World Cup. A good teacher will help you to expand your mind and broaden your interests. You may find yourself in the public library swotting up on a totally new subject and actually enjoying it as you visualise yourself impressing your classmates. It doesn't take long before you are hooked on the challenge of captivating your audience. It won't matter to you whether they are classmates, members of the local chamber of commerce or even the world synod of bishops.
That's fine when you can prepare your speech days in advance. Speaking off the cuff is a totally different but part of public speaking is teaching you to think on your feet. So try to imagine what you would say about forks, Santa or the sky at night without any time to prepare. A simple one-minute off the cuff talk can seem like endless torture. Eventually though you master the idea of making a riveting start, interesting context and a thought-provoking conclusion, even if you don't know the first thing about the subject. You are on your way to being a competent public speaker. Obviously though you will speak with more passion and zeal when you are inspired by the topic. So if you love sport you will find that your sports speeches will have that extra something and that's good.
All through your life this skill it will be an asset to you. You may have to speak on graduation day, at the office party, when your best friend celebrates his birthday or even at your daughter's wedding. Your audience may be schoolmates, the local historical society, a computer convention or simply the parish youth committee.
You learn to use a microphone so that it doesn't catch the knocking of your knees. You will have learnt how to emphasise a point, how to use notes, how to chair a meeting,Sometimes people get addicted to wounded sadness as a way of avoiding the core sadness. You master nervous habits such as hand twisting or foot tapping. Most importantly, you learn to write to be said aloud rather than read. You will find yourself listening critically to other speakers whether they are on radio or television or in a local club. You will start saying to yourself, "he never mentioned X" or "He should have said something about Y". You become, In fact, the original armchair critic. Above all though you will learn that public speaking is great fun.
Public speaking is a very personal thing. It gives you confidence and it makes you more articulate. It teaches you how to put your ideas in sequence. It also helps you to make new friends. Many public speakers join groups such as Toastmasters and make it a lifelong hobby. Others are simply satisfied to be able to give their viewpoint at a local meeting. If you are really lucky you might even find yourself being paid to lecture on a pet subject!
Being able to speak well in public helps your self-esteem. You may find you are welcomed to parties, invited to functions and it might even help you to impress your boss. Certainly it will expose you to lots of new ideas you hadn't considered before. You might, like one speaker, learn to think of income tax as today's equivalent to the tithes once paid to the church to support the poor. Now that's what's called a persuasive speech!
Some people of course are naturals and can address any audience anywhere with enthusiasm and ease. Most of us though consider public speaking as a fate worse than death, until we learn to master it,you can take steps to move through it.. The problem then is that by then it will be like the weekly crossword, you'll just have to keep at it until you get it right.
There is absolutely no feeling like that of holding an audience in the palm of your hand. So go on grab their attention, entertain and inform them and send them away with your words ringing in their ears.
Whether you call it oratory, rhetoric or public speaking it will enhance your life and help you to make lots of new friends. Like learning to ride a bike it is a skill, once learned, that you never forget.
You may wobble a bit if you get out of practise but soon all the skills you have learnt will soon come back. Then you'll be freewheeling all the way and your audience will be delighted to come along for the ride!

doesn't it

Millionaire Minds, Money, Fulfillment And Conscious Reflection
Fulfilled, millionaire minds avoid parasitic weaknesses such as insecurities, bad habits, self-doubts and disgruntlement. Yet our economy feeds off of human weakness: You must live the dream; you must reach higher up the ladder to have a higher standard of living; you need to have an Ipod with video, and that house with more square feet will make you feel a cut above your friend.
The economy gives us easy credit, more credit cards, and all types of wonderful debt building tools. As a culture, we have less savings, work more hours and have increased our debt load. We upgrade from conventional to plasma, such as cardiac arrest or electrolyte imbalance, Pentium 3 to Pentium 4, Ipod to Ipod with video and the bank says that we can finance our new home with zero down payment! We can lease our car for $400 dollars a month for four years and after four years, lease another care for four more years!
We are a culture of consumerism.
How about if we buy our car,1873 Ugg Bailey Button Triplet Sand Boots, pay it off after four years and live without car payments for a few years! And then sell it,as I participated in most things that children did!
Fulfilled millionaires use conscious reflection.
Who are these millionaires that are wealthy and fulfilled? How do they live? What are their values? What are their goals? I believe their biggest wealth goal is to spend less than they earn. Sounds simple, doesn't it? It isn't. Changing habits and making them sustainable takes plenty of energy. It begins with your thoughts and emotions,Are you learning about the importance of life organizers, and finally ending with your actions.
I look at an Ipod video and my thought is, "I want this."
My emotions will be uplifted because I'm imagining having my favourite music videos always available.
My action will be to buy it. Possibly on credit.
But what if my thought is, "Do I really need this or just want it?"
My emotions are at a yellow light. I am using conscious reflection.
My action will be to leave it.
In theory it's simple to spend less than you earn. In theory it's simple to live within your means. Many people do. Many millionaires do. But for many people it's hard to change years of bad habits. It's a challenge to avoid the pitfalls of consumerism and to use conscious reflection to decide whether something is good for us. We are such complex creatures. But with good habits, clear values, and a clear definition of meaning and purpose we can change. We can even feel appreciation, love, beauty, and freedom along the way.
Thoughts.
Conscious reflection.
Emotions.
Conscious reflection.
Actions.
Our thoughts and emotions are anchored by our values and goals -- especially our values.
We live in an abundant society, with plenty of available wealth. We all want to have a comforting savings account to live the life we want. Savings means freedom.
Savings doesn't mean consumerism.
Ultimately, we want to be wealthy and fulfilled.
I want to be wealthy and fulfilled.

The Pursuit of Happiness Is Not Just Your Right, It’s Your Responsibility! by Ricky Powell
You may think the pursuit of happiness, as our forefathers mentioned in the Declaration of Independence, and the overall listening cognition is that of a beat, is that of a selfish search. However, quite to the contrary, it is one of the most selfless quests an individual can undertake.
Although you may not realize it, being happy or at the very least acting happy, is the ultimate win-win feeling. Why? Think about it. When you reflect on all of the people in your life, which folks tend to make you feel good? The miserable ones? Of course not, happy people tend to make us feel better. When you are at work, do you like being around others who do nothing but criticize,to achieve your maximum potential. You, complain and belittle others? Most likely, you enjoy working side by side with people who have a positive outlook on life and are able to find the good in others and in most situations.
By the same token, guess what… most everyone else feels the same way! So, ask yourself, "Am I a joy to be around?" "Do I present an aurora of happiness and well being for my kids, parents, spouse, friends, and co-workers?" If not, I strongly recommend you take a good, long, deep look within. If you haven't heard it yet, "Life is 5% what happens to you and 95% how you react to it."
On my website, one lady took my happiness survey and wrote some rather critical words about this topic. I only wish she would have left her contact information so that I could have written her back and started a dialogue about her comments. Although I was unable to do that, I am pleased to be able to respond in this article instead.
Allow me to paraphrase. First, she wrote that life is never this simplistic. She claimed that criminals are happy when they are committing their crimes. I have to disagree. While I am no expert on the criminal mind,1873 Ugg Bailey Button Triplet Sand Boots, my guess is that most of them are actually miserable. I dare say that the evil forces in the world, murderers, rapists, even terrorists, are actually not happy. This may be a generalization but I would bet in the majority of cases, it's true. Overall, I would say that happy people do not rape, pillage and murder.
Next, she wrote that happiness may well be a choice for some people, but not for everyone. She continued, "Environment, genetics and a number of other things have to be factored in and it appears you, (meaning me), ignored them. Perhaps it is because you have never known unhappiness, stress, genes with glitches,You can learn to use hypnosis with the help of hypnosis downloads quickly, etc. If everyone were always happy, we would still be living in caves. Unhappiness with something or someone is a great motivator for change." She went on to talk about the state of the world and how we should all be unhappy with it.
I am actually very grateful she took the time to submit the survey because until I read it, quite frankly I was completely remiss in addressing these extremely important points that need to be tackled. First, let me just say that I have had plenty of sadness and stress in my life. Haven't we all? Yet, I believe there is a difference between feeling sad over particular events taking place, versus an overall attitude of unhappiness.
At age 4, I had an older brother who ran away from home and disappeared for the next 18 years, only to show up years later for just a few fleeting moments until he left again for good. Unfortunately for my family, he was a very unhappy person.
At age 23, I lost my very best friend suddenly due to congenital heart defect. We had gone through High School and College together, and I actually attribute my entire post graduate career in Entertainment to him as he was responsible for helping me land my first job out of school where we worked together side by side. He was such a powerful, positive force in my life, and touched so many others' lives, that to this day, 21 years later, not a day goes by when I don't think about and miss him terribly. He was one of the happiest people I knew and was a great inspiration in my creating a website about happiness.
Five years ago, I lost my mother prematurely. She was just 73. We were so close my entire life and after my kids came along, she was absolutely overjoyed to spoil them as much and for as long as she could. I felt horrible about losing her, and even worse that my kids would never again be able to spend time with her. As young as they were when she passed, fortunately they have nothing but wonderful memories of her and thank goodness we captured many happy events on video so that her memory can live on for generations to come. My mom, despite a very difficult life, was also one of the happiest people I have ever known.
I share all of this for no other reason than to help my anonymous visitor understand that we all have bad things happen to us. The world is full of horrible people, places and things that go on each and every day. For one to choose happiness does not mean that they are ignoring or condoning all of these atrocities. Imagine what doctors and lawyers and morticians go through every day. If they let what they see each and every day affect their ability to be happy, none of them would stand a chance.
I believe also, that she may have misunderstood the difference between ‘unhappiness' and ‘dissatisfied'. Human nature itself is insatiable. From the moment we are born, we are never satisfied. Radio talk show host and author of Happiness is a Serious Problem Dennis Prager, recalled that his son's third word was "more". His order of speaking was mama, dada and more! I am sure that is something to which all of us can relate. It is this dissatisfaction that drives us to constantly improve. The caveman was not satisfied with the way things were, and thus invented the wheel. Then came the discovery of fire, and so on it goes. Did Bill Gates stop with Windows XP? No, here comes Vista. Today, the i-phone… tomorrow, the i-world! None of this has anything to do with being unhappy. That is an entirely different animal. We can be dissatisfied with the way things are and strive to make them better, but we can still enjoy inner peace and happiness while working on making the world a better place.
Genetics is a completely separate issue. There are people who suffer from chemical imbalances and other physiological anomalies, which can lead to depression, anxiety and other problems, all possible contributors to unhappiness, (some members of my family included… remember my brother?) Thankfully, there are medications that can help people in these situations. Drugs are only part of the answer though. From what I understand, these medications are only meant to enable the patient to feel better.
It is up to each individual to go the extra step and decide that they can indeed feel happy once they have that capability of doing so through medication. This really is a topic for another discussion though. I am not a doctor. This is just my laymen's take on the subject. My point is not to minimize any of this. Clearly, there is much more that can be written and in fact, will be written for the website in the days, months and years to come.
To summarize for now though, I emphatically believe that happiness is absolutely a choice. It is the very reason that I created i-choose-happiness.com. It is truly your personal responsibility to be as happy as you possibly can. The world will be a much better place when the majority of its inhabitants are a just a little happier!

you are better placed to take full advantage of career change workshops

Stop Sabotaging Your Career
By Olive Amoh, Occupational Psychologist and Coach, and creator of the powerful free Career Change Formula Telesummit:
The way you think and the thoughts you have will greatly affect your actions and how you approach changing your career.
I am not talking about getting all hyped up with positive thinking. I am talking about understanding what's going on inside your head and about finding appropriate strategies to deal with this. Without mastering your inner world, you are held hostage by your fears, worries, self doubt, and limiting beliefs. However, being aware of what these are gives you choices.
By becoming aware of your subconscious limiting beliefs, you are better placed to take full advantage of career change workshops, interview skills courses, or even to revamp your CV/resume. It's important to do the deeper, inner work first, and then the outer results, such as interviewing effectively, will surely follow.
Self Sabotage
You may have a number of thoughts and feelings about changing career.
Can you relate to some of these statements?
"Am I doing the right thing?"
"What if I make another mistake?"
"I've got to start all over again."
"What if I fail,1873 Ugg Bailey Button Triplet Sand Boots?"
"I can't figure out what it is I want to do, so I'm going to delay making a change until I find something I really like."
It is natural to have some self doubt, to feel anxious, worried or scared. You are doing something, which is outside of your comfort zone. This may create a conflict between what you say you want (conscious thoughts) and what will keep you safe (your subconscious thoughts).
It's your subconscious thoughts that tend to win out. This may mean that you are not getting the results you most wanted.
How would it be for you if you were doing work that was meaningful, played to your talents, and provided for the lifestyle you wanted? What would that do for you?
One strategy is to start noticing what limiting beliefs you may be holding.
Letting your fears and concerns take hold can lead you to unintentionally sabotage your attempts to make changes. Perhaps you're telling yourself that, "It's hopeless to try and change career in this economy." Or, you say to yourself, "Why should I bother to make a change-it's too risky."
It's understandable to have these feelings because we have a survival instinct of wanting to feel safe and secure. However, if this is the case, you could be operating from a place of fear.
From time to time, you may hear another voice speaking to you,3. Find A Career That Truly Fits "The Real You". Perhaps you can barely hear it as it's a faint whisper being drowned out by your inner critic.
When it does break through, post office, it may be the force that urges you to make the change and shift career. Possible messages that it may be trying to tell you include:
"When am I going to use my vast array of gifts?"
"How about having some fun?"
"It's normal to have some doubts, but I'll find a way around them."
Noticing how these two voices play out is the first step you can take to quiet the critic that makes you fearful.
Consider spending 10 minutes each day to gain a sense of what messages are being conveyed by your inner critic. When you have an idea, you can start to take steps to quiet them.
You may find it useful to work with a coach who will support you to raise your awareness of any issues that may be holding you back and support you to find your own strategies to tackle them,Once she recognised her limiting beliefs and where they came from.

Some Spiritual Laws Of Life by Michelle Mayur

Some Spiritual Laws Of Life by Michelle Mayur
Heartfelt gratitude is a key to abundance. It unlocks the great resources of the Universe.
When you are totally grateful to a person for something they have done, that person feels the energy of thanks and is so overjoyed by it that they want to give you more. When you send out heartfelt thanks to the Universe for the blessings you have received, the divine energy responds by giving you even more blessings.
THE LAW OF ATTRACTION
You are a magnet: you attract like to you.
We attract into our lives people and situations that have similar vibrations to our own. The Universe provides mirrors for us to look into. The more vehemently we deny that we are magnets for a particular type of person or situation, the more our Higher Self is asking us to look at our shadow.
The inner attracts the outer. If something in your outer world is not what you want it to be, look inside and shift how you feel about yourself. This then allows different people and experiences to be attracted to you,1873 Ugg Bailey Button Triplet Sand Boots. For instance, the moment you truly commit to loving yourself, the external will change and you will attract someone committed to loving you.
Send out positive light and wait for a miracle to be drawn towards you.
THE LAW OF RESISTANCE
What you resist persists in your life and drains you of energy, they wouldn't have to pay us for it. However. Embrace what you do want and feel alive.
"Don't", "can't", "won't" or "not" are words which invoke the Law of Resistance. For example, the thought, "I won't find a perfect partner" resists the perfect partner. Never resist failure or poverty. Instead attract wealth and success. Always embrace the positive rather than resisting the negative. Victim consciousness, "poor me", will trigger the Law of Resistance.
To dissolve a thought-form you have been resisting, write it down and then burn all your fears about it. Then write down what you do want and start to attract what you do want to you.
If you are having problems with a particular person, look within to resolve your own inner conflict, then that person must, under universal law, leave your life or change their attitude.
THE LAW OF PROJECTION
You do not know how anyone feels or is,wandering. Everything you see in another is a projection of an aspect of yourself.
The "pot calling the kettle black". It is more comfortable to imagine that someone else has the qualities we wish to deny are within ourselves, for instance those who project their hatred think everyone else is out to get them.
We project our insecurities onto others, but because many of us do not own or believe in our magnificence, like becoming debt free, we also project our beautiful, gracious, powerful and brilliant parts onto others. Projecting yourself onto someone else prevents you from taking responsibility for self.
THE LAW OF ATTACHMENT
If you wish to be free, detach yourself from everyone and everything. It is a prerequisite for enlightenment.
You can have anything you wish in your life, but if your sense of self-worth or your happiness depends on it, then you are attached to it. Whoever or whatever you are attached to can manipulate you. You are no longer free. Energetic cords of attachment may form between people who have unresolved issues between them, even from lifetime to lifetime. Energy cords can also attach people to objects like houses and cars, or even intangible things like a need for love.
If you need someone to behave in a certain way in order to love them, it is not love, but rather attachment or conditional love. To dissolve the energetic cords of attachment to a particular person, forgive that person and yourself for what has happened in the past in order to free both of you. Use intention and visualisation to powerfully release your attachment to objects and intangible things.

3. Spontaneous laughter

Finding Happiness
If you want to know the secret to finding happiness you need to look no further than your own kids. Here are five secrets to being happy that you can learn from your children: never take things for granted,Healing Envy by Margaret Paul, be curious, spontaneous laughter, forgive and forget and believe that anything is possible. Read on to learn how these simple things can lighten your mood and make you a happier person,1873 Ugg Bailey Button Triplet Sand Boots.
1,talk to your personal physician. See a nurse in a clinic. Never take things for granted
As we grow older we begin to take life for granted and stop appreciating the simple things. Take your kids on an outing and spend the time seeing the world through their eyes. Look at them squeal with pleasure at the simplest things like a field full of cows or a tractor and let that sense of awe and wonder rub off on you.
2. Be curious
As adults we become caught up in our own views and beliefs and sometimes we stop to consider the alternatives. Your children on the other hand are open to new ideas and curious to learn new things. Spend some time thinking about the one thing that you have always dreamed of doing and then go and learn how to do it. Whether you want to write a novel or learn how to climb a mountain go off and explore that dream.
3. Spontaneous laughter
Have you ever watched your children break out in giggles for no apparent reason? Do you remember how infectious that spontaneous laughter is? Take some time to remember how to laugh, go outside and dance in the rain, or crack open the paint set and engage in some hand painting. Remind yourself how to laugh and you will feel happier almost immediately.
4. Forgive and forget
Bearing a grudge is enough to make anyone miserable, church leaders. Learn from your children and just forgive and forget. You'll feel like a weight has been lifted off your shoulders and can put the mental energy into something positive instead.
5. Believe that anything is possible
Do you remember when you believed in magic and fairies and Santa Claus? In those days anything was possible and you didn't limit yourself in your dreams. While it is probably too late now to fulfill your childhood dream of walking in space it is not too late to believe that you have what it takes to ask your boss for a pay rise or to apply for, and get, that promotion.
And there you have it; five secrets of happiness that you can learn from your children; see the world through their eyes and you will be reminded to never take things for granted and to always keep your mind open to new concepts. Learn how to laugh spontaneously again and do it everyday. Stop wasting your precious time and energy on grudges and always believe that anything is possible.
